Employee Benefit Research Institute

Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) was founded in 1978 as a non-profit organization. It is a nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization. It contributes to employee benefit program and public policy. To fulfil this mandate, fact-based research that is both independent and objective is used for reference. From the information collated, companies are able to elevate their levels of education.

EBRI receives funding from contributions, primary through membership and grants. The member organisations number in excess of 100 and include financial firms, recordkeepers, insurers, asset managers, advocacy, government affairs, and more.  The research and data that is produced by EBRI is meant to serve a mission for the production and communication of nonpartisan data about employee benefits. It is worth noting that EBRI is not a consulting, lobbying or advocacy group.

The information that EBRI offers continues to evolve with the U.S. employee benefit system. This is due to research design focusing on trends as well as policies. Producing information on the latest changes is one reason that the information on the benefits system always remains relevant.

Innovative solutions that are produced from EBRI support policymakers, employers, service providers and more. The information can be used to make decisions on design as well as developing of policies.
